Training exotic talents: evaluation

Written by De Bitterballetjes at 21:18 9/12-2023

Bitterballetjes' president Bart and his invisible board members made a first evaluation of the recent goal to help out smaller countries with training usable prospects. Some turned out nice and it is fun to do. But future youngsters will be climbers, because the current climbers are an aging minority of the squad. An overview...

  1) Dzidris Kurzemnieks (Latvia)

Usable LO2, but also a nice outsider in sprintraces which demands HL-skills, also HL-teammate. Versatile asset for the team and this seasons winner of the 20th Goto Heaven Race in div6. No caps yet.

  CL: 33
  DH: 34
  HL: 73
  SP: 81
  FR: 38
  CB: 27
  TQ: 61
  TT: 26

  2) Albert Brunton (Trinidad and Tobago)

This 26-year old sprinter almost vanished from the hirelist, but we gave it a shot. He became a nice LOSP with sometimes chances for himself. A 4th place in a div6 and a 8th place in a div5 race. Not too bad. Gathered 2 caps for his country.

  CL: 26
  DH: 27
  HL: 46
  SP: 79
  FR: 63
  CB: 26
  TQ: 52
  TT: 27

  3) Eric Dia (Senegal)

CB-rider. Mediocre pave pacer. High AV, so high RV: 118.873. Too bad there isn't a Senegal manager. So my motivation to keep him is low.

  CL: 30
  DH: 44
  HL: 44
  SP: 56
  FR: 48
  CB: 72
  TQ: 61
  TT: 25

  4) Heinrich Van Schalewyn (Namibia)

Failed sprinting project. AV-maxed. Spare LO1 at best. Will be released fast. RV: 77.430.

  CL: 32
  DH: 30
  HL: 31
  SP: 86
  FR: 44
  CB: 26
  TQ: 33
  TT: 28

  5) Geoffrey Jack (Papua New Guinea)

Still in training. Maxed low on the HL-stat, so spare HL-teammate. But has nice side SP-skills. Can become a versatile racer like Kurzemnieks. Fingers crossed. 1 cap so far.

  CL: 26 (potential: none)
  DH: 32 (potential: small)
  HL: 71 (maxed) :-(
  SP: 54 (potential: good)
  FR: 39 (potential: small)
  CB: 25 (potential: small)
  TQ: 39 (potential: small)
  TT: 28 (potential: none)

  6) Usamah Hashim (Syria)

Former legend of the Syrian NT with 24 selections. Now a still decent HL-teammate with experience for my side.

  CL: 33
  DH: 27
  HL: 82
  SP: 58
  FR: 29
  CB: 28
  TQ: 34
  TT: 25

  7) Mehdi Kenanes (Algeria)

Young HL-teammate. Was trained before me. Gained some caps in the past. Thinking about releasing him.

  CL: 37
  DH: 50
  HL: 75
  SP: 31
